Background
ACC started a social audit of its community initiatives to bring about increased transparency and oversight. Through the audit it also seeks new and better solutions for the emergent needs of the community it serves.
Intervention
The ACC Social Audit report evaluates in detail the action of the company towards the community comprising of the stakeholder groups that are in the immediate neighborhood of ACC plant sites and are directly impacted by the plant operations either environmentally, economically or socially.
Services
The Social Audit report for ACC Ltd was cogently written and designed to bring out the key findings of the Social Audit Committee. The ACC CSR teams work with some of the poorest and marginalized communities that are residing at remote locations where the company has its manufacturing units. In doing so the CSR initiatives are constantly calibrated to the community needs and governmental development priorities. All the CSR activities initiated by the plants across the country were studied in detail and recommendations cited.
